About the Program
Website:
UNTHSC Mobile Vision
Host Organization:
North Texas Eye Research Institute - UNT Health Science Center
Description:
The Mobile Vision Screening Program checks preschoolers in North Texas for common vision problems including nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), astigmatism, amblyopia (“lazy eye”), and asymmetric pupil diameters. The hope is that by identifying and correcting vision problems early, students will have greater success in the classroom. In addition to Mobile Vision Screening Program, NTERI also actively participates in local health fairs and community events, providing eye health education and resources to members of the community.
